Concept Korea’s Class Of Spring 2022

The first time I had seen any of Concept Korea’s designs was in 2019, then again in 2020 just before the pandemic struck. I was immensely impressed with what I witnessed on the runway at both events. They were some of the most innovative designs I had ever seen up to that point. With their Spring-Summer campaign, I feel the same way about the current designs.

For the first time, Concept Korea takes the fashion film – a genre that has risen to prominence since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic – to new heights by launching the Concept Korea film, a three-part series that unveils the vibrant face of contemporary Korean design. I’ve mentioned elsewhere that, with the exception of a choice few, I haven’t been thrilled with many of the digital fashion presentations I’ve seen since last year. However, Concept Korea has pulled out all of the stops to bring us a presentation unlike any other.

The ‘Digital Collection’ breaks away from traditional runway formats to give life to fashion in unexpected ways, showcasing great brands and designers with the storytelling they deserve.

NOHANT

EENK

UL:KIN

Alongside Famous Korean actors and K-pop stars, who take on roles in the story of each brand, the Spring 2022 collections of EENK (Hyemee Lee), NOHANT (Noah Nam), and UL:KIN (Seong-dong Lee) become the stars of this series of short films that tell the story of Concept Korea.

Co-produced by Ok-seop Yi, director of the Korean hit film "Maggie," and actor Kyo-hwan Koo, who charmed in "Escape from Mogadishu" and "D.P.", these three episodes highlight the identity of each brand and give a novel perspective on Korean talent in design and entertainment to our global audience.

While I love all of the designers' wares in these presentations, if you know me personally, I’m sure you can guess which one matches my style.
